Clearing skies and dry conditions by Friday evening

TODAY: Any light rain lingering in Mid-Missouri will dry up in the early afternoon hours near the I-44 corridor. Any rain accumulation will be under 1/10″. High temperatures today will reach the upper 60s with southerly winds shifting to the north up to 10 mph with gusts around 20 mph. By tonight winds will calm, giving us a mild evening with temperatures in the upper 50s.

SATURDAY: As high pressure settles to the north of Mid-Missouri, we will see pleasant and slightly cooler temperatures for the start of our weekend. Cooler winds out of the NW up to 8 mph will help keep conditions on the cooler side. The high temperature will touch the lower 60s with sunny skies dominating into sunset. By Saturday evening, temperatures will be brisk near the upper 40s.

EXTENDED: A slight rain chance exists for Sunday morning mainly south of I-70 with a few rumbles of thunder possible. It will be warmer with highs in the low to mid 60s Sunday as winds switch back to the south. By Sunday night and Monday morning the rain chance increases ahead of the next cold front to arrive by next Monday night. Thunderstorms can’t be ruled out Sunday night and heading into Monday morning. Temperatures will climb into the lower 70s Monday, cooling back into the 50s for next Tuesday and Wednesday.
