Sunshine and Mild for Thursday Afternoon

TODAY: We’ll get back to more typical March weather today, thanks to some sunshine and a lifting warm front. As this warm front gradually lifts northward through the day, a south breeze will pick up near 15 mph. Afternoon temperatures will climb to the mid 50s under partly cloudy skies. Some light drizzle/rain is possible for areas north of Highway 50 until the late afternoon hours.

TONIGHT: Low clouds will increase tonight, and there is a chance for drizzle mainly after 2AM to begin south of HWY 50. It will be a mild night with lows nearly 20 degrees milder in the mid 40s. Winds will remain from the south overnight near 15 mph.

EXTENDED: Light rain and drizzle will come to an end by 12PM-2PM south of I-70 on Friday afternoon. Winds look to shift late morning and early afternoon bringing a northerly and slightly cooler temperatures for Saturday. Heading into the weekend, high temperatures will reach near 60 Saturday under mostly sunny skies and mid 60s Sunday. There is a slight rain chance on Sunday morning south of I-70. By Sunday night and Monday morning the rain chance increases ahead of the next cold front to arrive by next Monday night. Thunderstorms can’t be ruled out Sunday night and heading into Monday morning. Temperatures will climb into the lower 70s Monday, cooling back into the 50s for next Tuesday and Wednesday.
