Jefferson City man arrested during home robbery
A Jefferson City man was arrested after police found him loading stolen items into the trunk of his car.
Jefferson City Police responded to a burglary in progress in the 800 block of Montana Street Thursday morning.
According to the witnesses, 37-year-old Christopher Thompson of Jefferson City was seen going into the home on Montana Street, carrying out items and loading them into the trunk of his vehicle. JCPD officers arrived on the scene and located the suspect and the stolen items.
The home’s owner arrived after Thompson was detained and identified the stolen items.
Thompson was arrested for second degree burglary, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
