Another man arrested in Boone County assault case where man was shot in face
Another man has been arrested after his involvement in the Ludwick Boulevard assault case, where one man was shot in the face.
Melvin Richard Copeland III was arrested on March 13 for assisting in first degree assault. Copeland carried the suspect, Rusty McGrath, away from the crime scene before law enforcement officers arrived on scene, preventing them to make contact with McGrath.
McGrath suffers from paralysis in the legs.On March 13, Rusty McGrath was formally charged in Boone County for assault, armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a firearm.
McGrath has a $150,000 cash only bond and is ordered to have no contact with the victim.
