Mizzou women earn 6-seed, will play South Florida to open NCAA tournament

Mizzou women’s basketball will face South Florida in the first round of the 2017 NCAA Women’s Basketball tournament. The Tigers earned a 6-seed in the tournament and will travel to Tallahassee, Florida. Florida State and Western Illinois will play in the other first round game in the Tallahassee subregion.

Mizzou is 21-10 on the season, with an 11-5 record in the SEC.

The University of Connecticut earned the top seed overall. The Huskies have won a record-breaking 107 straight games and are seeking their fifth consecutive national title.
