Winter Weather Likely Monday Morning
The surface air temperature plays a huge role in snow, ice potential, and accumulation. Early Monday morning a mix of rain/sleet and snow will be possible as a clipper moves through. If we stay above 32 on Monday morning the roads will only be slippery. Below are two different forecast models for Monday morning at 7AM. The first appears to be slightly warmer indicating most areas above 32, excluding Vandalia. The second image below, trends slightly cooler with an air temperature of 32 near Fulton, Vandalia, and Montgomery City on Monday morning. A change in temperature of 33 and 32 can make a world of a difference. We’ll want to keep an eye for slick conditions for Monday morning’s commute.
