Columbia intersection blocked while crews respond to fire

Columbia firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire in the 900 block of Hardin Street in Columbia on Friday night.

According to the City of Columbia’s Fire and Rescue 911 Dispatch website, emergency crews were dispatched to the home around 6:15 p.m.

ABC 17 News crews reported seeing smoke coming from the home.

The intersection of Hardin Street and Mikel Street was blocked off.

Firefighters said no one was hurt, though a family had been inside the home.

The fire marshal is at the scene.

ABC 17 News will update this story once investigators release more information about the cause of this fire.
