Woman arrested in strong armed robbery at Walgreen’s on Broadway

Officers were called to a robbery at Walgreen’s on 222 E. Broadway on Tuesday afternoon.

A 66-year-old female victim was approached by a white female who attempted to take the victim’s purse, and struck the victim several times in her face, body and legs.

The suspect fled the scene on foot heading east without the victim’s purse. The victim sustained a cut to her right hand during the assault.

Samantha Nicole Doty was arrested for second degree robbery.
