Fire Weather Watch/ Red Flag Warning Tuesday

A Fire Weather Watch and a Red Flag Warning will be valid from 11AM through 7PM this evening as westerly winds will gust upwards to 35-40 mph during the day. Sustained west winds of 10-18 mph will cause rapid fire growth. A Fire Weather Watch will be valid for Boone and Cole counties and those east of US 63 (areas shaded in tan). A Red Flag Warning will be valid for areas west of US 63 and south of HWY 50 (areas shaded in pink). Outdoor burning is highly discouraged for ALL of Mid-Missouri today. Relative humidity will be the lowest, falling to 15% for those west of US 63, where outdoor burning should be avoided completely. For additional weather updates follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter.
