Windy Monday with Severe Storms Monday Night
TODAY: It will be a mild morning with temperatures in the low 50s for the morning commute. A south wind will steadily increase. Those south of HWY 50 are under a Wind Advisory where sustained winds of 20-30 mph is possible, along with wind gusts to 40 mph. This can make driving difficult for high impact vehicles and light weight vehicles. Temperatures will warm to highs in the mid to low 70s in the afternoon.
TONIGHT: Storms will increase starting in northwest Mid-Missouri by 8PM-10PM. Storms will move in overnight towards Columbia by midnight ending in southeast Mid-Missouri by 3AM-4AM. All modes of severe weather are possible. Winds will become westerly overnight, while still breezy sustained near 10-15 mph. Temperatures will drop 10 degrees cooler tonight in the low 40s by daybreak Tuesday morning.
EXTENDED: It will be dry Tuesday through Thursday morning. There is a chance for rain returning by Thursday afternoon, mainly south of I-70. The upcoming weekend looks to bring possible storms by Friday night through much of Saturday. At this time, Sunday looks to be the dry day this upcoming weekend.
