Four people recovering after crash on 50/63 in Jefferson City

Multiple people are recovering after a crash on U.S. Highway 50/63 in Jefferson City.

Police said officers went to the crash site in the eastbound lanes of the 5000 block of the highway where they found a Ford Explorer rear-ended a Dodge Neon that had three people inside.

All four people involved were seen by hospital staff for treatment of their injuries. Police said all the injuries are considered non-life threatening. Everyone except one passenger involved was wearing a seat belt.

One lane of 50/63 was closed for about 45 minutes while police investigated.
