Power outages affect Mid-Missouri

UPDATE: Boone Electric Cooperative confirms there was 183 outages across the county.

All of those outages were due to lightening and trees blowing over during the storm Tuesday night.

ORIGINAL STORY: After storms hit Tuesday night, power outages were seen across parts of Mid-Missouri.

During the early morning of Wednesday, Boone County showed three power outages. Our crews called Boone Electric Cooperative to see if the outages were due to the storms and are waiting to hear back.

The outages are near Ashland and the south side of Columbia.

Our crews also got reports of outages in Randolph County, after half dollar sized hail was reported in Huntsville and Moberly.

However, the Ameren map shows those outages have been restored.

The only damage reports our crews have gotten was in Camden County, where a garage was blown down due to the high winds.

It is possible we will see more outages pop up as people wake up and realize their power was knocked out overnight.

Our crews will continue checking in with power companies for the latest updates on outages and repairs.
