Mid-Missouri man accused of pawning stolen guns at Columbia store
A Cairo, Missouri man is charged in mid-Missouri after he’s accused of trying to pawn stolen guns last month.
According to a probable cause statement obtained by ABC 17 News, Kyle D. Jones, 24, stole several weapons from a Clarence, Missouri home on Oct. 6, 2016.
The victims reported to authorities that a Thompson Center Impact .50 Caliber Muzzleloader and a Browning X-Bolt 22-250 with a Vortex scope were taken from the home.
Boone County Deputies said Jones went to Family Pawn on Paris Road in Columbia on Jan. 10 where he sold the Browning model rifle. A day later, Jones pawned the muzzleloader at the same location.
Both guns were later identified by the victims as the firearms that were taken from the home.
Jones was charged Tuesday in Boone County with two state felony counts of stealing a firearm.
