Mexico man shoots victim in leg after disturbance
Mexico Public Safety responded to a home in the 200 block of E Boulevard in reference to a disturbance with someone being shot Wednesday morning.
Padre A. Lucas, age 24 of Mexico, was arrested for the incident. He was taken to the Audrain County Jail for second degree domestic assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
The investigation revealed that Lucas and the victim had been arguing and fighting throughout the night, ending with Lucas shooting the victim in the leg.
The victim was transported to University Hospital in Columbia by the Audrain Ambulance District. The victim’s injuries were treated at that facility and was discharged.
