Rollover crash leaves one dead in Jefferson City
UPDATE 2/27: The man who died in the rollover crash has been identified as 44-year-old Joshua D. Harmon of Jefferson City.
ORIGINAL STORY: One person is dead after a rollover crash Jefferson City police say.
Police say calls came in around 8:15 a.m. Saturday about the crash on the westbound lanes of U.S. 50/63 near the Moreau River Bridge. Firefighters and police responded to the scene.
First responders found a Chrysler PT Cruiser had hit the back tire of an ammonia trailer that was being towed by a pickup truck. No chemicals were spilled.
Police said after the impact the PT Cruiser went off the right side of the road, hit a guardrail and overturned. The driver, who was ejected, reportedly was not wearing a seat belt. Police said he had fatal injuries.
