Saturday morning, February 25

TODAY: The morning hours are going to be frigid with wind chills in the teens through 10AM with increasing sun. High temperatures will touch near 40 degrees with clearing skies by mid-morning. It will be another breezy day with northwesterly winds at 7-16 mph and gusts in the 20s, diminishing through the afternoon.

SUNDAY: A chance for a rain/snow mix exists during the day and evening starting up after 9 AM for areas near HWY 65 and increasing into Columbia by noon. No snow accumulation is expected since surface air temperatures will be in the upper 30s to near 40 degrees during this time. Liquid accumulation may reach 1/10″ with localized amounts reaching near 1/4″ for areas south of US 24. The rain will taper off by early Sunday evening.

EXTENDED: Another chance for rain moves late in the day Monday with high temperatures warming into the lower 50s Monday and into the mid 60s Tuesday. A slight chance of rain and perhaps a few rumbles of thunder will be possible late Tuesday and into early Wednesday morning.
