Propane tank leak after vehicle crash on Business Loop 70 East

A propane tank was leaking after a truck backed into it on 4 Business Loop 70 East.

Firefighters say a truck was delivering products to the Break Time when they backed into the propane tank, causing it to start leaking.

They also said truck driver had dealt with propane before and helped Break Time employees to evacuate and turn of the electricity in the store.

The wind helped dissipate the propane.

The employees of the store were able to go back in side after a while.

Both Columbia Fire and Columbia police responded to the scene.

The area where the propane tank is, is blocked off.
