Deputies arrest man suspected in attempted burglary

Camden County sheriff’s deputies arrested a 25-year-old Macks Creek man Saturday morning on suspicion of attempted first-degree burglary.

Deputies were called to a home on Hackberry Trace around 9:15 a.m. A woman told deputies she saw a man, who she knew, looking through a window.

Deputies said when the woman ran to a neighbor’s house to call for help the man took off into the woods.

Shortly after, deputies found him hiding in a creek bed between Hackberry Trace and the 2500 block of State Road A.

The Linn Creek Police Department also assisted at the scene.

Authorities aren’t releasing the suspect’s name at this time.
