Law enforcement warns of scammers posing as Ameren

The Moberly Police Department and Randolph County Sheriff’s Office are warning residents about a potential scam involving Ameren UE.

Both agencies have received complaints about Ameren UE fraud. The caller who is claiming to be from Ameren UE is a scammer from overseas.

Authorities said Ameren UE will not ask for personal information over the phone. They encourage citizens never to give out their personal information to anyone over the phone.
