Sunny and Cool Wednesday Afternoon

TODAY: Abundant sunshine is here and will stick around for the rest of the week in Mid-Missouri. Even under the sunny skies, today will be significantly cooler in the mid to upper 40s. Winds will be breezy today out of the northwest under 15 mph, gusting up to 20+.

TONIGHT: Skies look to be mostly clear with temperatures falling to 32 again overnight. Winds look to shift by evening becoming southwesterly under 8 mph.

EXTENDED: Thursday will start off cool, while a steady southwest wind will increase by 10AM-11AM with winds gusting to 20 mph at this time. During the afternoon winds are likely to gust upwards to 30 mph. Temperatures will warm quickly during the day reaching the mid 60s, feeling more like April. We will stay in a mild weather pattern through early next week with highs in the 60s and nights in the 40s. The weekend looks warm and dry with high temperatures in the upper 60s Saturday and near 70 Sunday. We’ll need to monitor the potential for critical fire weather again this week starting Thursday. The next chance for rain looks possible by Monday. Areas west of US 63 at this time, look to have the better chance for rain under 0.20″.
