Latter half of February will bring unseasonablly warm temperatures

The temperature outlook through the end of the month shows above normal temperatures through the 28th. Record highs were set last weekend, hitting 74 on Saturday February 11th. The upcoming weekend, it looks like air temperatures will be near the record or possibly breaking next week a few days.

Starting on Sunday February 19th. The record high on this date is 76, set back in 1930. With a forecast high of 71, it’s possible we’ll come close to this record. Next week Monday and Tuesday the record highs are 76, and forecast model trends are going warmer with temperatures in the low 70s. The record high for Monday February 20 was just set last year. February 2016 came in the top 30 warmest Februarys on record. It’s likely February 2017 will rank higher. For additional weather updates follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter.
