Fire Weather Watch for Thursday
A Fire Weather Watch is in effect from 10 AM to 6 PM Thursday. This means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur. A combination of windy and dry conditions will be ideal for fires to spread quickly. Relative humidity will drop as low as 20% in the afternoon as southwesterly winds of 15-20 mph gust as high as 30 mph at times. Afternoon temperatures will climb to the low to mid 60s under mostly sunny skies.
Vegetation and fuels are extremely dry due to developing drought conditions across the region. So outdoor burning is not recommended on Thursday.
