Mid-Missouri woman charged in teen’s suicide set to appear in court

A mid-Missouri woman accused of harassing a teenager, who later committed suicide, is due in Howard County Court.

Harley Branham, 21, of Fayette, is charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of 17-year-old Kenneth Suttner.

Suttner worked with Branham, who was the manager at the Dairy Queen in Fayette, before his death last year. Investigators said Suttner died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Dec. 21.

Branham is accused of bullying and harassing Suttner while he worked at the fast-food restaurant.

A coroner’s inquest in Howard County recommended prosecutors charge Branham for the death of Suttner.

Branham is set to be arraigned at the Howard County courthouse at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
