Rolla woman killed in Phelps County crash
A 23-year-old woman died early Saturday after a crash on Interstate 44 just outside of St. James.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the driver, Renetra Osun, of Rolla, first went of the left side of the road and into the median. Troopers said she drove back onto the interstate, but then drove off the right side of the road, where her car overturned and she was ejected from it.
Osun was pronounced dead at the scene just after 6 a.m.
According to the crash report, she wasn’t wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
