Man arrested for multiple Callaway County thefts
The Callaway County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday criminal charges have been filed after several theft related investigations in the southern part of Callaway County, particularly around Holts Summit , Tebbetts, and Mokane.
On Jan. 17, the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Joseph Green with first degree burglary regarding a commercial burglary of a Holts Summit business that the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office investigated on Sept. 27, 2016.
On Jan. 22, the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Joseph Green with second degree burglary and felony rreceiving stolen property regarding a commercial burglary of a Tebbetts business that the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office investigated on Dec. 15, 2016.
On Jan. 25, the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Joseph Green with two counts of first degree tampering with a motor vehicle. The first charge of tampering with a motor vehicle was the result of a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office investigation of a residential burglary and vehicle theft offense on Nov. 1, 2016 in the Mokane area. The second charge of tampering with a motor vehicle was the result of a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office investigation of the theft of a commercial motor vehicle from a business in Holts Summit on Sept. 27, 2016.
Green remains in custody on a bond of $23,500 for the Callaway County charges and held on no bond for various Cole County warrants for burglary, possession of a controlled substance, and theft of a firearm.
