Sunday Evening, February 5
TONIGHT: Temperatures will drop into the mid to upper 30s with partly cloudy skies and light east-southeast winds. Areas of fog will develop by morning with a few light, spotty showers possible by daybreak south of I-70.
MONDAY: It will feel like spring as temperatures climb into the mid to upper 50s in the afternoon, topping out near 60 in the early evening hours. Spotty light showers are expected as skies remain mostly cloudy and winds come out of the south up to 10 mph.
EXTENDED: A few t-storms are possible Monday evening and overnight with a chance a few could become strong or severe. The main threat is large hail with the best chance of stronger storms south of I-70. We are keeping an eye on an isolated tornado threat along and south of I-44 which could affect Phelps and Pulaski counties. Rain moves out by 7 AM Tuesday east of HWY 63. Tuesday will be warm and breezy with high temperatures in the low to mid 60s under mostly sunny skies. A strong cold front moving through in the afternoon will send much colder air into the region Tuesday evening with falling temperatures into the upper 20s by Wednesday morning. High temperatures will only reach the mid 30s Wednesday. There is a slight snow chance Wednesday evening into Thursday. Friday holds the potential for warmer and dry conditions until another rain chance arrives for the weekend. For additional weather updates follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter.
