Police standoff in Fulton ends, man in custody
UPDATE 2/3: Public Records show in both Audrain and Callaway county Vaughn was charged with drug related incidents including intent to distribute or sell drugs.
Vaughn was then issued the two warrants after he failed to show up to court.
It is unclear if Vaughn will face any additional charges for the standoff.
UPDATE (10:47 p.m.): A man is in custody following a nearly five-hour standoff in Fulton.
Fulton Police have identified the man as Victor Vaughn.
Police said they went to the home in the 500 block of E. 8th Street because Vaughn had two outstanding felony warrants from Callaway and Audrain County.
Officers tried to make contact with Vaughn inside the home with a loud speaker and by phone. The FBI also assisted with negotiations. Family members were also allowed to try to call Vaughn to get him to come out of the house.
The Fulton Police Department Special Response Unit were eventually able to get inside the home and took Vaughn into custody without incident.
No one was hurt.
ORIGINAL: Fulton police confirm the area of 8th Street is blocked off for a police standoff.
ABC 17 News was on scene and reports that no traffic has gone through the area.
Fulton Police Chief Steve Myers confirms with ABC 17 News that the standoff has been going on for several hours.
Myers also says that they are waiting for a man with several warrants to come out of an apartment complex.
