Grocery store chain proposes second Columbia location
A national grocery store chain with locations in mid-Missouri has proposed plans for another location in Boone County.
The City of Columbia confirmed that Aldi’s has submitted plans for a second location in the southern part of the city.
According to the proposal obtained by ABC 17 News, Aldi plans to build the store at 1000 E. Green Meadows Road, near Kohl’s.
Aldi’s existing location in Columbia is located in the 800 block of Business Loop 70 West.
Columbia city officials told ABC 17 News the project is still under review.
