Vehicle crash in Sunrise Beach causes one fatality

UPDATE 1/31: On Monday, a freight liner that was being driven by David Jantz, a 58-year-old male from Barnett, entered the road from a private drive in front of a 2007 Chrysler, driven by Forrestine Holmes, a 69-year-old female from Stover.

Holmes struck the towed unit of the freight liner. She was taken by the Staff For Life to University Hospital. Holmes was pronounced dead early this morning.

ORIGINAL STORY: According to the Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District Facebook page, there is a vehicle crash that has resulted in an entrapment.

Gravois Fire, Lake West Ambulance and Squad 12 of the fire district is working to free the victim. It is unclear if there is more than one victim and what the extent of the injuries are.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol, Staff For Life, Laurie Police Department and the Sunrise Bead Police Department are also on scene.
