Slight weekend snow chance
It won’t be much, if any, but you might see some snowflakes come down this weekend as upper level disturbances move through. Upper level winds are from the northwest which limits how much moisture is available. Therefore, it’s likely we will just see snow flurries at times but a few light snow showers are possible.
Temperatures will stay cold this weekend with early mornings in the mid 20s and afternoons reaching the upper 30s. Clouds will be dominant although we will see some pockets of sunshine.
Clouds will move in by Saturday morning with snow flurries possible until early afternoon as the first upper level wave moves through. This will be followed by another batch of low clouds which could produce flurries and spotty light snow showers Saturday night into early Sunday morning. Areas that get under a snow shower could see a dusting of snow which will melt by mid-morning Sunday as temperatures climb above freezing.
The wind will make it feel colder this weekend. Northwest winds of 8-15 mph Saturday will produce wind chills in the teens through 10 AM and 20s in the afternoon. The wind will be stronger Sunday with 10-15 mph winds gusting to 25 mph at times, producing wind chills in the 20s.
