Robinson is a native of Chicago. ABC 17 went through multiple media reports and found only one report of a college-aged female shot in Chicago on Christmas Eve. According to Chicago police, a 22-year old female was leaving her car when an unknown gray-colored vehicle approached the victim. The suspects fired shots from the inside of the vehicle. The woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police did not confirm the identity of the victim.

Robinson, who played for Mizzou from 2014 to 2016, is stable after getting through surgery, according to Mizzou Women’s Basketball. ABC 17 also called a Chicago hospital, which also confirmed a patient who goes by Juanita Robinson is currently stable.
