Friday January 20 Morning Weather
TODAY: A Dense Fog Advisory is valid through 10AM for all of Mid-Missouri this morning. This means that the visibility will fall to 1/4 of a mile in spots causing hazardous driving conditions for the morning commute. After some patchy drizzle and dense fog to start the day, temperatures will be on the increase. While cloudy skies are still expected through the day on Friday, there will be a few breaks in the clouds, but don’t expect much. There will be a small chance for isolated showers by evening to those north of HWY 24 with rain amounts less than .10″. Highs will top out in the mid 50s, with winds under 11 mph out of the southeast.
TONIGHT: Clouds will eventually break overnight becoming partly cloudy. Winds will be from the south from 5-9 mph. Fog is possible again tonight and early Saturday, although not as dense. Temperatures stay unseasonably mild for mid January in the low 40s overnight.
EXTENDED: Saturday is shaping up to be superb with unseasonably warm temperatures! Saturday looks to be mostly sunny with afternoon temperatures reaching the low 60s. Clouds look to increase by Saturday night for those south of I-70 and west of US 63. On Sunday, those north of I-70 may have more sun, while areas south will have more clouds and a chance for rain. The Truman Reservoir area, Lake area, and I-44 look to have the best rain chance from 6AM-1PM in the afternoon where up to 0.25″ of rainfall is possible.
