Rain Returns Thursday

Rain increases on Thursday morning as early as 3AM near the Lake of the Ozarks. Some instability will bring a few thunderstorms and possible rumbles of thunder. Showers look to lift near I-70 in Columbia by 5AM-7AM. There will likely be rain for Thursday morning with isolated showers through Thursday afternoon.

The rain chance looks to come to an end by Thursday evening by 7PM where highest rain totals will be east of HWY 54 where up to 0.50″ looks possible. Areas west of US 63 look to see trace to up to 0.10″. There may be a few showers producing moderate rainfall during the afternoon near Chariton, Howard, and Macon counties where locally higher amounts will be possible. No severe weather is expected.
