Monday January 16 Morning Weather
TODAY: Temperatures will rise to an unseasonably warm high in the lower 50s despite the gloomy and soggy conditions. Winds will be from the southeast today transitioning from the south tonight around 6-8 mph. Any rain that moves through the area today will end around 7PM-9PM. Additional accumulation around 0.10″ – 0.25″ is possible for areas north of I-70 and east of US 63. We’ll want to watch for fog again this evening. Temperatures will be well above normal, only dipping to the mid 30s overnight.
TUESDAY: Watch out for patchy fog during your morning commute. Morning temperatures will be chilly in the mid to upper 30s. Although conditions will remain dry for Tuesday, skies will remain overcast with the high reaching the lower 40s. Conditions by the evening will slide to mid 30s with clouds beginning to break up overnight.
EXTENDED: We’ll want to watch for the potential for freezing fog on Wednesday morning as temperatures will dip to freezing in the early morning hours. Otherwise, this week looks mild temperatures in the 50s much of the week, and climbing to 60 by Friday. Another chance for rain will return by Friday morning.
