Columbia’s own Carl Edwards is reportedly stepping away from racing in 2017 to pursue other interests, according to Fox Sports. Joe Gibbs Racing will reportedly hold a news conference on Wednesday to announce Edwards’ plans.
Edwards, 37, won three times in 2016, and he finished fourth in the Sprint Cup standings.
