Inauguration Day in Jefferson City: What to expect

The next governor of Missouri will officially take office on Monday in Jefferson City.

Eric Grietens will start his day off at 9 a.m. at the St. Peter’s Catholic Church with an interfaith prayer service. He will be swearing in around noon on Monday.

Here is the complete schedule:

Interfaith Prayer Service 9:00 a.m. @ St. Peter’s Catholic Church Honoring our Missouri Heroes 10:00 a.m. @ Missouri State Capitol Rotunda Swearing-In Ceremonies 11:30 a.m. @ South Steps of the Capitol Formation of the Troops 1:00 p.m. @ North Steps of the Capitol Receiving Line with the Governor and First Lady 1:30 p.m. @ The Governor’s Mansion Public Hospitality Reception 3:00 p.m. @ Capitol Plaza Hotel Salute to Service Inaugural Ball 7:00 p.m. @ Capitol Rotunda

Uber rides and parking will be free for inauguration festivities within Jefferson City limits.

ABC 17 News will have two hours of complete, live coverage of the inauguration starting at 11 a.m. on Monday on KMIZ. We’ll be working alongside Missourinet who will broadcast the inauguration coverage across the state. Mid-missouri residents can listen to the radio coverage on AM 950.

ABC 17 News will also stream the inauguration coverage online at abc17news.com.
