Fire destroys home in Maries County
The Red Cross is assisting a Maries County family after a fire destroyed their home.
The sheriff’s office said the fire happened Saturday night on County Road 433.
Deputies assisted the St. James Fire Department and the Vichy Fire Department at the scene.
Everyone inside the home was able to make it out safely. Authorities said the family’s Christmas tree fell over into the wood stove.
