Friday January 6 Morning Weather
TODAY: It will be a very cold morning with an air temperature of 3 to 5. Winds from the west/northwest under 10 mph however, will make it fee like 0 to -12 this morning through 11AM. Patchy fog is possible where there is more snow pack near HWY 22 and north. Clouds will gradually decrease south of I-70 leaving a mostly sunny sky. Temperatures look to stay 20-25 degrees below normal in the mid teens. Afternoon wind chill looks to only top near 5-8.
TONIGHT: Skies will be mostly clear with a northwest wind under 5 mph. The wind chill will be close to 5 by the evening commute. The temperature will dip close to 7 overnight, with a wind chill reaching 0.
EXTENDED: There may be some patchy fog on Saturday morning due to light winds. We’ll start off with plenty of sun though on Saturday with clouds increasing during the day. Although we warm slightly this weekend, we will still be below freezing through Sunday before a shift in the weather pattern sends warmer air in for the start of next week. High temperatures will reach the lower 40s Monday and low 50s on Tuesday as a southwest breeze picks up and brings a chance of rain Tuesday.
