Wanted man arrested after multi-county chase

A wanted man was taken into custody after leading deputies on a chase through parts of Mid-Missouri Wednesday afternoon.

The Maries County Sheriff’s Office said it helped capture Douglas Crider after a pursuit through Osage and Gasconade counties.

Crider was arrested by Osage County deputies on warrants from Gasconade County, Maries County and Belle. Additional charges were pending from Osage County as a result of the arrest.

“We haven’t had this level of cooperation and professionalism in the recent past. We look forward to the results that will come in the near future as a result,” said Maries County Sheriff Chris Heitman in a Facebook post.
