Winter Weather Advisory valid this evening

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for most of Mid-Missouri starting tonight at 8PM and expiring at 12PM on Thursday afternoon. Snow impacts will cause issues for Thursday morning commuters as a few snow bands are likely to be set up. Folks from I-70 and north will see amounts closer to 2″ to 3″, while areas south of I-70 will see amounts near 1″ to 2″. Latest forecast model runs suggest more bands increasing by late morning south of I-70 and ending by 2PM-3PM near I-44. If forecast models get in better agreement this afternoon regarding the southern half of our viewing area, we’ll be increasing totals near the Lake of the Ozarks and I-44.
