Two arrested on suspicion of Callaway County burglary already out of jail

Callaway County authorities say two people accused in a burglary have already bonded out of jail.

Callaway County sheriff’s deputies say they responded to the area near County Roads 269 and 276 in Stephens around 8 Monday morning.

When they got there, they say they found 35-year-old Justin Archuleta, of Columbia, and 36-year-old Alicia Kaufmann, from Iowa.

The pair are reportedly associates and were taken into custody.

Deputies say Archuleta was booked for burglary, stealing and possession of marijuana. Kaufman was booked for trespassing.

ABC 17 News checked Tuesday morning and formal charges are still pending for both suspects.
