Tuesday Morning January 3
TODAY: Dense fog will erode through 9AM this morning. Light showers are possible in the morning through 12PM as a cold front moves through. Temperatures this morning will start off in the low 40s with falling temperatures in the afternoon. Winds will pick up during the day gusting at times to 25 mph. Clouds will start to break in the afternoon with temperatures falling to 32 by 6PM-8PM.
TONIGHT: It looks to be partly cloudy overnight as winds will see be breezy from the northwest at 15 mph. Temperatures will drop overnight to the teens, bringing a wind chilly in the single digits by Wednesday morning.
EXTENDED: It will be bitterly cold Wednesday morning with the temperature near 15 degrees and a wind chill of 7-9 by 7AM. Daytime highs will remain below freezing for the rest of the week and into the weekend with the morning lows in the teens and daytime highs in the 20s to near 30. We’re keeping an eye on a chance of light snow returning by Wednesday night and Thursday morning. If the snow develops, it would be very light with amounts of 1/2″ for most areas, however near I-70 is looking possible for 1″ to 2″ at this time.
