Motorcyclist seriously injured after a crash in South Columbia

A motorcyclist crashed on the 3700 block of Bethel Street just before midnight Friday.

Columbia police said the driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Emergency crews were at the scene for over an hour.

A viewer said police blocked off part of Bethel Street this morning for the crash investigation.

The motorcyclist was the only person involved in the crash, according to police.
