Red Flag Warning Friday

An elevated fire risk remains valid today (Friday) for those west of US 63. Areas shaded in pink are under a Red Flag Warning. This will be valid starting at 11AM through 5PM today. Humidity will fall to 15-25%. Coupled with sustained winds of 15-25 mph, outdoor burning is highly discouraged. These conditions can create uncontrollable fire growth. Be mindful of cigarette butts. All of Mid-Missouri is experiencing abnormally dry conditions. With the air being very dry, a lighted cigarette could spark a fire. For additional weather updates follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter.
