Gunshots heard near 200 block of Granada Boulevard
Columbia police responded to a call from someone who heard gunshots on the 200 block of Granada Boulevard around 11:30 Thursday morning.
Several police officers searched the area for evidence of gunfire on Santiago Drive.
Police moved to an apartment building on Granada Boulevard and searched the area.
A woman who lives in the building told ABC 17 News that she was eating breakfast when she heard three loud pops. She said one of her neighbors below her also heard what sounded like gunshots.
Columbia police said they cleared the scene. They said police did not find any shell casings, victims or any other evidence showing that gunshots were fired.
The police said the person who called 911 about the gunshots said they saw a car with people inside it, wearing hoodies, around the time they heard the gunshots. Police said the person did not give a clear description of the car or the people inside.
The police said they are reporting the heard gunshots as a suspicious incident, because they have no evidence.
