Sturgeon City Clerk resigns after six months

A city official has confirmed that Sturgeon’s City Clerk has resigned.

Kristina Jones’s resignation was effective immediately Wednesday. The official would not divulge the reason for the resignation.

Jones had been with the city for just under six months.

Mayor Gene Kelly talked with ABC 17 News. “Jones was very efficient, accurate and very productive. It was a shock to me,” Kelly said.
