Tuesday Evening, December 27

TONIGHT: It remains quiet overnight as high pressure moves overhead and winds shift out of the south under 10 mph. Temperatures will drop to near 30.

WEDNESDAY: It will be slightly warmer with high temperatures in the lower 50s with a few more clouds. There is an isolated shower chance near I-44 in the afternoon but most areas will stay dry.

EXTENDED: It will be cooler and windy Thursday with highs in the low to mid 40s under mostly sunny skies. Westerly winds of 15-20 mph will gust as high as 30 mph. As another cold front moves in this weekend, moisture will return ahead of it from the south but looks light. There is a slight chance of light rain or rain/snow mix early Saturday morning southeast of HWY 54, with the better chance near I-44. High temperatures will reach the mid-upper 40s Saturday and lower 40s New Year’s Day. There is a chance of showers Sunday with a better rain chance late Sunday night into Monday. Our next arctic blast hits next week with falling temperatures Tuesday. For additional weather updates follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter.
