Next Arctic Front Possible 1st Week of January

So the common question has been, how long will these mild December temperatures last? Medium forecast model runs have been hinting at the next arctic front to arrive by the first week of January. As of this morning (December 27), it looks like January 3, 4, and 5th we could see the next blast of arctic air return.

What this means, is usual forecast highs in the upper 30s will be well below normal, possible low 20s and upper teens. Temperature may fall to the single digits from I-70 and north by January 7 and 8th.
