Two injured in crash on Missouri River Bridge

A crash on the westbound Missouri River Bridge backed up traffic for nearly an hour Monday afternoon.

The Jefferson City Police Department said a car ran out of gas in the driving lane. Police said the stalled car caused a fender bender with two other cars, which blocked other lanes of traffic.

Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police said traffic was backed up for approximately 50 minutes while emergency responders cleared the scene.
