Monday, December 26 Morning Weather

TODAY: Some isolated AM showers are possible in extreme western Mid-Missouri. Outside of that small chance, today will be dry and breezy. Sunny skies will greet all of Mid-Missouri through the day, with temperatures holding steady in the upper 40s and lower 50s. Winds through the day will be out of the west under 15 mph. These westerly winds will keep the cooler air at bay, but we will see it filter in through the evening hours.

TONIGHT: A chilly night expected across Mid-Missouri, as the thermometer drops into the mid and upper 20s. Expect mostly clear skies with winds out of the west under 10 mph. We’ll have to watch for a few slick spots on roads that are less traveled, where there is the potential for a glaze of ice to develop as the temperature drops below freezing.

EXTENDED: Tuesday also holds sunny and dry conditions with Wednesday breaking this short-lived trend of dry weather with a chance for early morning rain. Temperatures will remain bearable this week lingering in the 40s for the highs and lows remaining in the upper 20s and lower 30s. Watching our next system take shape as we head into New Years Eve/Day, as there is a chance for some isolated showers in the forecast.
